In the summer of 2009, semi-professional photographer Zoltán was travelling home to Hungary from the Neste Oil Rally in Finland. He was in a van with friends. Stepping out of the vehicle on a brief break in the journey he noticed this symmetrical composition in the landscape. 

“It was just a fortunate picture,” he says. Normally more interested in photographing people in everyday life, Zoltán recently moved to downtown Budapest to pursue this photographic subject. His other favourite theme is the interaction between nature, agriculture and people.

How does it feel to win a prize?

"I have sent pictures to photo contests from the time I first became interested in photography. I have won a lot of local and international contests. They are a good opportunity for photographers to keep practising their art, as well as for the organizers to get great pictures to represent their products and ideas. I am so proud to win in the Syngenta Photo Prize. This is a well-known contest. I was so happy when I received the congratulations letter from the jury!"
