About the photo:
The photograph shows flower of fawn lily taken in somewhere in Daisen. I have seen the flower in a thicket of Musashino, Saitama Prefecture when I was in my 20's, and I used to feel coming of spring when I saw it. Unfortunately, we are unable to see fawn lily these days. Although it has become rare plant in Daisen, most of snow is gone by the time the flower of fawn lily blossoms. I use this flower as an index to see coming of the spring to Mt. Daisen.

My hobby is to take pictures of flowers in Daisen, Tottori Prefecture. When I was in my 20's, I was moved by the beauty of flower garden in Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture; it's been my hobby to take photographs of flowers in the mountain. Wild plants are affected by changes in environment, so even there is certain type of plant in certain area, it doesn't mean we can see it again in next year. I'm now in my 40's and I wish to keep the record of local plants to succeeding generations. There is no word to describe how great it is to press the shutter button when I find a flower after hours of walking.
