Celebrating the six best entries

Together with the judges’ top 70 favorites, the 6 winning photographs are featured in a special exhibition that opened on Tuesday November 16 at the Kunsthalle in Basel, Switzerland. The exhibition forms an important part of Syngenta’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

The winning images creatively interpreted Syngenta’s purpose:
“Bringing plant potential to life”.

The judging process
Our 6 winners were selected by a jury made up of internal and external experts, including award-winning photographer Marcus Lyon and Syngenta CEO Mike Mack. The most outstanding images – 3 entries from within Syngenta and 3 from outside the company – were awarded vouchers for photographic equipment:

1st   prize:  USD 8,000
2nd  prize:  USD 5,000
3rd   prize:  USD 3,000

Our jury evaluates photos on the basis of:

  • Creative interpretation of the theme “Bringing plant potential to life”
  • Color and composition (selection of display detail, harmony, color etc.)
  • Quality and technique
